Take Oregon with you to the skies ✈️

Heading out of town this holiday season? Whether you’re flying home to family or off on a new adventure, we have some exciting news to make your flight a little more cinematic.

We are thrilled to announce that two of our Travel Oregon short films are now streaming on Alaska Airlines in-flight entertainment!

Now you can settle into your seat, plug in your headphones, and immerse yourself in the beauty of our home state from 30,000 feet. Look for us in the "Made in the Northwest" or "Short Films" section on your next flight.

These films were produced in partnership with MEDIAmerica and props to Travel Oregon Mo Sherifdeen and Alumnus Sachie for making the connection to the Alaska team.

Keeping a Native Language and Culture Alive

Step into the world of Jefferson Greene, who grew up surrounded by the melody of the Ichishkíin language in the traditional longhouses of Warm Springs. Raised by grandparents for whom English was a second language, Greene is now on a mission to keep those ancestral sounds and traditions vibrant for the next generation. This film is a soulful look at the dedication required to preserve a culture, offering viewers a rare chance to listen to the heartbeat of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs.

Inspiring Pride in Place: Telling Stories About Us, From Us

Through the lens of Paul Robert Wolf Wilson, a photographer and storyteller from the Klamath and Modoc tribes, we see Oregon’s landscapes in a profound new light. This film explores the concept of "visual sovereignty"—the power of "telling stories about us, from us." Paul takes us into his ancestral homelands to show that true pride in place comes from understanding the deep, unbroken connection between the land and the people who have stewarded it for generations. It’s a beautiful reminder that every view has a voice.
