Meet Our Crew
Michelle Haynes Alvarado :: Owner and Director
Michelle’s fifteen year journey through the Film and Video industry began in Southern California. At USC Cinema School, she studied under the likes of Oliver Stone and Mario Van Pebles. Her early experiences in Los Angeles included commercials, feature films and television specials. After a stint in research and development with National Geographic Feature Films, Michelle jumped at the chance to dive into a job at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. She then dedicated a few years teaching video in Bend before launching Wahoo Films LLC.
At Wahoo, she brings her storytelling talents to a myriad of projects ranging from short, online marketing videos to full-length documentaries. She also loves to film underwater – including capturing the elusive North Umpqua Steelhead.
Daniel Quintero :: Production Associate, Animator and Video Editor
Due to his unholy level of dedication and unrepentant attention to detail, most people believe Dan Quintero is part robot. In fact, he´s a mere mortal who enjoys creating creative creations so much that anything less than perfection is an act of artistic treason. His weapon of choice just happens to be video production.
Bruce Cummings :: Contributing Writer, Editor, and Voice Talent
This former senior producer for NBC Nightly News worked with Tom Brokaw and Brian Williams crafting "the first rough draft of history." Cummings’s work of producing, writing and script-editing resulted in several Emmys and other prestigious awards.
Bruce lives in Bend with his wife Sandy, who is a senior producer for Dateline NBC. They share their home with a black Lab named Scout and a very funny tabby called Rosie.
Charles Haynes :: Business Advisor
Chuck Haynes’ employment history is, quite frankly, a bit bizarre. In the 70s, he started a company that produced silicon implants. When the company grew extremely, um, “large”, he decided to put his hands to other use. So Chuck became a potter and, with his wife, opened up an art gallery in Lake Tahoe. His pots were plucked up by clients as varied as Hyatt Hotels and Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek’s Spock).
After diving into Pacific Grove just once, he moved, earned his third Master’s degree, and became a teacher for students with learning difficulties. Today, Chuck resides in Bend, Oregon where he enjoys retirement while serving as a business advisor for Wahoo Films.
